Description
A Steel Fixer's primary responsibilities are as follows: Laying up the work area in accordance with engineering plans, Cutting and bending bars or mesh with hand and power tools, Using wire, clips, or welds to connect rebar (reinforcement bars) to form sections, Installing spacers and 'chairs' (supports), Repairing the timber formwork and shuttering used to hold the concrete in place during the setting process and affixing steel to concrete foundations.
